The last six months has been a really great period for us with strong growth and variety across our core line of business; research and advisory. But in a lot of ways we are only just beginning. With projects and clients taking us right around the country and across to New Zealand our collaborative and open approach to client relationships and delivery is becoming a cornerstone of our customer value. During client activities we quite often get a response along the lines of “I can’t believe other companies don’t do it this way.” To be honest most of the "this way" is simply basic customer experience and consultative process helped along with some great technology. As a research organisation we live and die by our ability to collaborate where-ever we are. It means continually pushing the envelope and reinvesting in the very tools and strategies that have carried us to this point. So today we placed an advertisement on Seek for a part-time web developer to assist us with some exciting internal projects and development work which lay ahead over the coming months. With some of our competitors just playing catch-up with regards to their web-presence it is time to push on again. So far we have been successfully able to build and harness a reasonably strong web presence in just two years. We currently attract over 5,000 discreet visitors a month with an average visit time of between 7 and 10 minutes and 1,000 downloads. This blog has even had over 4,000 visitors in a little over a year. We're not unhappy with those figures. Traffic is good, traction is great but we know we can do better. Some of the “we can do better” is basic system integration, some of it is new system development, other parts are just an effort to increase the customer experience by incorporating cool new technologies. We want to be able to answer the question of “why come back to www.longhaus.com” before it is even asked. What this means for us is that our decisions as a company are changing and the happy fact is that it is a direct result of growth. We are becoming the company we set out to be and the further changes you will begin to see between now and Christmas will be the evidence of our continued success towards becoming a key influencer in Asia Pacific’s ICT markets. Stay tuned. |
